The tea tree (tee tree) is a small tree with needle-like leaves and no stalks, yellow or purplish heads. It can grow up to 7m in height and is native to Australia. Because Captain Cook mistakenly believed that the oriental tea was named "tea tree". When medical equipment was in short supply during World War II, because of the excellent anti-inflammatory and sterilizing effects of tea tree oil, every soldier would ration tea tree essential oil to treat infected and inflamed wounds.
The terpinen-4-ol, 1,8-eucalyptol, etc. contained in tea tree oil have excellent anti-inflammatory, anti-influenza, and immune-enhancing effects.
The tea tree essential oil extracted from the fresh branches and leaves of the tea tree harvested from September to
November every year during the lush growth period has the highest content of terpinen-4-ol,
good quality and remarkable curative effect.
